What to Pack for a Destination Wedding: Bride Edition

A destination wedding is the ultimate #weddinggoal. It's almost like a mini honeymoon and a wedding all in one. If you're taking your wedding to the next level and traveling for it we say Congratulations! Now that you've set the date, booked everything, and let your guests know far in advance, it's time to start packing for this romantic get away. Today we will be going over some essentials you will need for the big day.

The Dress and Accessories. 

Probably one of the most important items to pack for your wedding would be your wedding dress. You're going to want to make sure the dress in packaged securely to avoid any tugging by other clothing or colors being transferred on it. The same goes for any delicate accessories your planning on wearing, like your veil. 

Other Clothing 

Checking the weather for the time being there is always recommended. This allows you to pack accordingly. Also take into account the activities you will be doing while on this trip. Make sure you have your rehearsal wear and any comfy bridal robe you plan on getting ready in. 

 Let's not forget your fancy footwear. We recommend bringing a back up for your wedding just incase you would like to switch shows or there is an accident with your first pair. Something that can be over looked is bringing the appropriate undergarments for your wedding dress. If your planning on wearing any shapewear remember to also pack this. 

Emergency Kit

Plan ahead! It's hard to anticipate what might take a wrong turn during this adventure but having a small emergency kit is a great idea. Things to include would be a small sewing kit, stain remover, mints, aspirin, band aids, safety pins, antacid, and fashion tape. They will not only come in handy for you but for anyone that may need a extra little help. 

Other Essentials

There is of course other must have items besides your wedding dress. Don't forget to pack adapters for electronic devices if they are needed and chargers for them as well. For any tropical vacations, don't forget the sunscreen. Avoid having a bright red complexion on your big day. Passport! this is crucial if you will be traveling outside of the country. If a Visa is necessary make sure you also have that present. 

Copies of all vendor contracts and their contact information is always a good thing to have. Make sure to pack your marriage license and secure the wedding rings in a safe carrier.

Extra's

Being a little extra prepaired is never a bad idea. Some other items that are always good to have handy with you are: extra contact lenses, feminine products, your go to lipstick and powder, extra hair accessories like bobby pins and hair ties. As well as eye drops.
