Traditional Wedding Must Do's You Can Skip
When it comes to weddings there are certain things that are traditionally incorporated from the bouquet toss to the first dance as husband and wife. Although these are things that are expected it doesn't mean you have to do them. Your wedding day is just that yours! Well you and your partners. Just because these are things that happen during typical weddings doesn't mean you have to do the same. We have put together some "must dos" that can turn into don'ts if they don't align with your vision.
1. No Wedding Party
We are starting off strong with backing away from the tradition wedding party. To some brides they can't imagine not having their best friend by their side. Not having a wedding party doesn't mean you value your friendships any less. It is a great way to be equal and not make anyone feel left out for not being in it. It also saves time and money so be sure to consider it if you want to try something new for your big day.
2. Skip The Wedding Toasts
Giving a wedding toast not only put pressure on the person to deliver but also you never know what people are going to day. Eliminate it all together and there is no need to worry. If you want to still have some toasts you can choose to have them during rehearsal dinner in a more relaxed and calm environment.
3. Goodbye Bouquet and Garter Toss
More and more couples are choosing to opt out of this tradition. If you thin it feels uncomfortable to you and your partner then don't feel the need to include it.
4. So Long Formal Wedding Cake Cutting
Some couples are not doing a formal cake cutting and that can be great for guests. It allows guests to continue dancing and enjoy their time without having to do a pause. You can still have a cake and cut it to with your partner. Turn it into an intimate moment with just you two.
