Tips To Walking In A Wedding Dress With A Train

We always say the bigger the better when it comes to wedding dress trains. They are a great way to make a statement and look so amazing when walking down the aisle. Although they do look fabulous it can sometimes be tricky to walk around in it. That extra fabric can be a little stressful to manage. You of course don’t want to have an accident and trip on it. So we are here to give some some tips and tricks to look amazing in a long train.

1. Practice Makes Perfect

As the old saying goes it couldn’t be more true. If you are nervous about the length of the train it’s important to wear it around before the big day. This can also go back to your bridal shop days. If you feel like the train is too long don’t be afraid to talk to you bridal consultants to find a length you are more comfortable with. You can still have a long train that can be more comfortable to your liking. Before the big day practice walking around in it for a bit. Just be careful not to get it dirty.

2.Be Mindful of the length

Usually when walking forward there isn’t much of an issue with tripping on a train or having others step on it. However, if you are planning on wearing the train down for the other wedding activities it is important to be mindful of it. When dancing and just walking around other guests can trip on it and you can also get caught up in it. We suggest pinning it up to keep it clean and safe.

3. In Comes the bustle

We talked about pinning up the wedding dress but the correct term is bustle. A bustle is when you convert your dress into having basically no train. It can be a good idea to assign this to some one. There is some work that goes into it. Making sure it looks even and stunning as it did before. We also suggest putting it into a bustle once the first dance is over with. Then you can let loose and have fun.
