Spirulina is my fav health craze now. Staying healthy with glowing skin is all our life time goal. Can good health and youthfulness be found in a littl' algae plant? Apparently, yes!
Spirulina is the final form of this age old blue green algae that is abundant in warm, alkaline fresh water around the world. Drinking pond water is not my cup of tea, but if I can add its health giving essence in my morning smoothie, then cheers to you and me.
Here are some wonderful ways to incorporate Spirulina into your daily diet. And since it has a mild fresh taste, it blends well in breakfast bowl, fruit smoothie, and even homemade pasta and ice cream, yum!
Be beautiful inside and out. Let your skin enjoy calming and brightening goodness with homemade Spirulina mask. For a refreshing me-time facial, mix 1 teaspoon spirulina powder and honey or aloe vera gel to a smooth consistency, apply on face for about 15 - 20 minutes and rinse well, then apply your favorite moisturizer.
