Should You Say Yes To The First Dress You Try On?

So the time for wedding dress shopping and the excitement is through the roof. When it comes to trying on dresses when should you draw the line? Some brides try on the first dress and know it’s the one for them. Others need to visit a few wedding dress stores. Everyone bride is different but we are here to help you make the best wedding dress choice. Keep on reading for some helpful tips.

How Many Gowns To Try On?

If the first gown you try on seems to be the perfect fit we suggest to continue trying on other gowns. You should aim to try on between 10 to 12 wedding dresses. Take notes of what you like, what you don't, and how you feel in each gown. If no other one compares to the first then circle back to it.

Is The First One For You?

If you think the first dress you tried on is still the one after trying on others try it on another time. It's also important to sleep on it. Taking a day or two to really think about it will allow you to reflect if that is really the gown for you. Make sure you always give yourself enough time for wedding dress shopping so that you are able to take this time to really find the perfect fit.

A positive about saying yes to the first dress without trying on any other one is saving time. It saves you many trips to other stores and hours spent taking on and off dresses.

A negative about just trying on one dress is that you might not be sure it's "the one". You missed out on other dresses that might have something better to offer.

That is why we suggest you take your time and really think about how the dress makes you feel. How comfortable it is and of course if it will be available in time for your wedding day.
