Can Two Friends Wedding Plan At The Same Time? Yes, Here's How!

If you had a close friend growing up it was probably brought in conversation about doing everything together. Having children and even getting married. As you grow older we of course learn that everyone is going at their own pace but what do you do if you and your friend are both planning a wedding at the same time? Some brides can fall into feeling a bit of competition. Sometimes it's not even competition it could mean not having your friend at the wedding because of scheduling.

We have some tips to help you navigate through this wedding planning process.

Communicate Schedules

You of course want your friend there for your important events like bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and maybe even choosing your wedding dress. It's very important to have conversations about when all of these events are happening to make sure each person is available. It's also a good idea to not plan the events so close to each other. So if your friend is having her wedding dress shopping day one day don't have yours the following weekend. This is especially true if you have the same group of friend attending both weddings.

Don't Compare Your Wedding

This can be hard even with someone who isn't your friend. Comparison is always a mood downer and can make the wedding planning process not enjoyable. Remember that everyone has different tastes and different budget. You friend might be having something big and grand but it doesn't mean you have to do it too. You should also be mindful and not flaunt your budget. Don't start comparing each thing from each others wedding.

Stay True To You

Staying true to your own style is a must. This doesn't just apply to your friends wedding. It also means not doing something just because its trending or some celebrity did it at their wedding. Stay true to your style and your own love story. That is what is going to make your wedding special and you won't ever forget all the personal touches.
