How To Coordinate Your Seating Chart
The day is almost here and after spending time finding the perfect venue and dress it’s come down to making a seating chart. This is the part that can be stressful and less exciting for couples. Seating charts are a must if you are having a seated dinner. It helps guests navigate and they will most likely be expecting it. With out a seating chart things can get messy as guests fumble to find a seat. We’ve put together some tips to help you create a great seating chart.
Seat People Who Know Each Other
This one seems like a no brainer but it is still important to remember. You may want others to meet new people and get to know one another but it doesn’t always work like that. There is no reason for splitting up family or friend groups just for that. Being with familiar faces will help your guests feel comfortable and enjoy the wedding.
Don’t Overfill Tables
Try not to place too many people at one table. Smaller groups are always better. You might also keep in mind to have enough room for your guests. If the table seats 10 don’t pack it with 10 people. Give them enough space to move around and be comfortable. It can also accommodate any guests to surprisingly show up.
Give Yourself Needed Time
Know that most likely you won’t just make one seating chart and be done. It will take some drafts. Having the seating chart done is also important to other things like escort cards and display seating chart. So it is very important to have the seating chart done in time. This will eliminate rush fees from printers.
Keep Your Guests In Mind
Be mindful for any accommodations that your guests may need when deciding where to seat them. That can mean having your grandparents away from the loud music and in a well lit area. These little things are going to make a great difference.
