Choosing to have a destination wedding automatically means you get a built in vacation. You get to travel to a beautiful place you love or maybe a new location for the first time. You can even arrive a few days early to settle in and tour the new location. Which maybe something your guests want to do also or extend their trip.
Con: Not Budget Friendly
Destination weddings can sometimes turn out to be less expensive than having a wedding in your own city. However, it can be very costly towards your guests. They have to book plane tickets and hotel rooms that can be very expensive especially if your wedding is during a busy travel season. Not only that but they have have to take time off from work which can be another cost issue.
Pro: Amazing Photos
Most destination weddings are done in gorgeous places. That means you are guaranteed to have amazing photos and videos to look back on. New architecture and just natural landscapes are great places to start.
Con: Unfamiliar Regulations
Each city and country can come with it's own set of rules. If this is an entirely new location that you have not visited before you are going to have to do some deep research before hand. Check if your marriage in this location will be recognized back home. What is the city like where you are planning your wedding? You never want to travel somewhere without getting familiar with the place.
