Tips On Have A Weekday Wedding

 Who said you can't have a wedding on a Thursday? While we often hear about weddings happening on a weekend, more and more couples are choosing weekday celebration. There is absolutely no real saying that you can't have a wedding on a weekday. We saw a rise in weekday weddings due to a rise in destination weddings. So do you think a weekday wedding is the right fit? If the answer is yes then we have some tips for making it as amazing as can be. 

Local Celebration 

We mentioned destination weddings being great for weekday weddings but that doesn't mean you can't have a local one during the week. Having a local weekday wedding makes it even easier to for your guests to attend. They won't have to ask for days off for travel and can even make it to the reception after work. 

Picking The Right Day

So now that you've decided a weekday wedding is the way to go, what day should you pick? We suggest a Thursday or Friday wedding. It's great because it is at the end of the week and your guests will be ready to party. You will probably want to avoid Mondays and Tuesdays because it is the start to a work week and it will probably make it harder to recover from the wedding. 

Children At The Wedding

This is something big to consider in every wedding but especially with weekday weddings. There can be more scheduling conflicts with children in attendance. If you are thinking of having children at the wedding you have to consider that it might be a school night and they have to get up early the next day. Other things like sports and after school programs can cause conflict. 

Closing Out The Night 

Having a weekday wedding can mean ending the night earlier than on a weekend. You have to take into consideration that your guests will probably have to work the next day. So ending it a bit earlier is something that you have to think about. That also means don't plan on hosting an after party. End the night on a high note and enjoy every minute of it.
