 Wedding thank you notes are still an important part of weddings. Its a nice gestures to let you guests know you value the time and money they are investing to your wedding. Your guest are going to remember the thoughtfulness of you sending our a thank you card. So here are some things you should know about them. 







Who Gets A Thank You Card?

First let's start off with who is going to be receiving a thank you card. Some think that it should be reserved for those who gave a gift but that isn't the case. You should send thank you cards to everyone who attended. It lets them know you appreciated they presence know they are valued. 


Make Note Of Those Who Gave Gifts.

Although everyone should get a card make sure to make note of those who did give gifts not only to your wedding but other occasions like a bridal shower. They are going to be thrilled that you loved both presents.


When To Send Out The Cards

Sooner is always better but if you just can't find the time three months after the wedding is still okay. It is easier to send out the cards as soon as you receive any gifts. It makes it easier to do one at a time instead of having them pile up and then writing 20 cards at a time. 


What Should You Write In The Card

Make the thank you card personal. It should be heart felt and sincere. You don't want to use a generic template because then the thank you card doesn't hold as much meaning. So go in with details and don't e afraid to get emotional. 


Who Writes The Thank You Cards?

Ideally you and your partner should both be writing them. You can split them up where they can write to their family and you can write to yours. You can also decide to both say a few words in each card to each person. That way they can see both of you took the time to thank them.
