What To Know Before You Choose Your Bridesmaids

Your bridesmaids are the ones who are going to stand proud up on the alter with you. Typically it is your closets friends and family. But other than thinking about then when choosing them you should keep other things in mind. Here are some things to think about before choosing your bridesmaids.

Make Sure They Have Time

Being a part of the wedding party is completely different than being a guest at the wedding. Your bridesmaids are going to need to have a schedule that allows them a good amount of time being spent for wedding activities. They are going to be there for the rehearsal, need time to shop for their gown, and other wedding activities like a bridal shower.

The Price Tag

Being a bridesmaid does come with a certain price tag. They have to pay for their gown and any accessories you would want them to wear. Then there are things like the bachelorette party and any other festivities. Adding all of that up can come at a hefty price. So make sure you discuss this before hand and know if your bridesmaids are comfortable with that.

Ask With Time To Spare

Make sure you give them plenty of time to decide if they will be able to be a part of the wedding party. You shouldn't just spring on to them your wedding and being a bridesmaid. That way they can ask for time off or just try to schedule things accordingly.

Making Sure They Are Comfortable

When choosing your wedding party make sure you choose people that are comfortable with being in the spotlight. Sure they aren't who the wedding is about, but being a bridesmaid still comes with a lot of attention focused on them.
